Why I built it
The story behind STL Ruler.
Every 3D-printing seller hits the same wall: buyers want to know how big the thing is. Opening a full CAD package just to draw three dimension lines is overkill — so I built a tool that does exactly that, in the browser, in seconds.
Drop the file, get the drawing. That's the whole idea.
It's made for Etsy and Amazon sellers who need clean listing images, print shops sending quotes to customers, and designers documenting parts for manufacturing. Everything runs on your own machine, so your models stay private.

Are my STL files uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are processed on your machine, right in your browser. Nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to save a composition to the cloud with Pro.
Which STL formats does it support?
Both binary and ASCII STL. You can drop several files at once and arrange them in rows or columns on the same artboard.
Do I need to install anything?
Nope. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS or Linux.
What does Pro add?
