## What it does

WPForms Email List Extractor adds one simple page to your WordPress admin. Pick one, several or all of your WPForms forms, choose a time frame, and download every email address people entered, as CSV, TXT, JSON or HTML.

I built it to move a mailing list to a new newsletter platform: export everyone who filled in a form, then send them a double opt-in invitation. No more copying addresses out of entries one by one.

### Features

- **Catches every email.** Reads all Email fields, including forms that ask for two or more (second parent, emergency contact, billing email).
- **Finds emails typed anywhere.** Optionally scans text, paragraph and other fields too.
- **Any time frame.** All time, last 7, 30 or 90 days, this year, or a custom date range.
- **A clean list.** Removes duplicates across forms, skips spam and trashed entries, drops invalid addresses and converts everything to lowercase.
- **Useful columns.** Add the person's name, source form, field label and entry date, or export the emails alone.
- **Four formats.** CSV (opens in Excel, imports into newsletter tools), TXT (one email per line), JSON, and a printable HTML table.
- **Preview before you download.** See the counts and first rows, or copy every email to your clipboard in one click.
- **Two entry sources.** Reads WPForms Pro entries, or the copy kept by the free Database for WPForms plugin.

### Good to know

- Everything stays on your server. Nothing is sent to any outside service.
- Only administrators can open the page and export emails.
- A name is only paired with a form's first email field, so a second parent's address never gets the wrong name.
- CSV files open cleanly in Excel: accented names display correctly and cell formulas are neutralized.
- Needs WPForms Pro or Database for WPForms, because WPForms Lite doesn't save entries on your site.

#### A note on consent

People who filled in a form haven't necessarily agreed to receive your newsletter. Import the list into your newsletter platform and send a double opt-in invitation, rather than subscribing them directly.

## Setup

1. **Download the plugin** Download the zip file from this page. Don't unzip it.
2. **Upload and activate** In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, click Install Now, then Activate.
3. **Open the extractor** Go to WPForms → Email Extractor. If WPForms is inactive, you'll find it under Tools → Email Extractor.
4. **Export your list** Tick your forms, pick a time frame and a file format, click Preview emails to check the list, then click Download.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does it work with WPForms Lite?

WPForms Lite doesn't save entries on your site, so there's nothing to read. It works with WPForms Pro (or any paid plan that stores entries), or with the free Database for WPForms plugin, which keeps a copy of every new submission.

### My forms ask for two email addresses. Will it get both?

Yes. Every Email field in a form is read, so a second parent, emergency contact or billing email is included too.

### Can it find emails typed into a message box?

Yes. Keep "Also find emails typed in other fields" checked and it scans text, paragraph and other fields as well. These show up with a "found in text" tag in the preview.

### Will it add people to my newsletter?

No. It only creates an export file. Import that file into your newsletter platform and send a double opt-in invitation, so only people who confirm get subscribed.

### Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Entries are read straight from your own database and the file downloads directly to your computer. Nothing goes to an outside service.

### Who can use it?

Only administrators (the manage_options capability). Developers can change this with the wpfee_capability filter.

### How do I update to a new version?

Download the new zip, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose it, then click "Replace current with uploaded". Your settings and data are not affected.
