## Why it was built

**A Lesson a Day** is built on one idea: you learn a language by producing it. Every lesson makes you type the answer, listen to it and say it out loud, instead of tapping the right picture.

Each day brings 20 new questions across five skills, about ten minutes in all. Get one wrong and you can ask Carrots, the app’s AI language buddy, why. Beginners start at Intro with their first words, and everyone else picks a level and goes.

## How it works

1. **Pick your language and level** — English, Spanish or French, with tips in the language you speak. Total beginners start at Intro.
2. **Do today’s 20 questions** — Type, listen and speak. Pause anytime and finish later the same day.
3. **Come back tomorrow** — A new lesson every day. A free account keeps your streak and report cards on every device.

Today’s lesson is free every day, with no account and no card.
